Mastering The Art Of Happiness

In today's world, very few people seem happy. They may have success, achieved goals, have a wonderful family life, or a strong relationship but they still seem to be unhappy...

That is because one negative thing that raises the feelings of unhappiness or dread or any other negative emotion is likely to overwhelm the positivity that is consistently there. Imagine a curtain that falls over window, blocking the beauty of the view, the light of hope shining upon you.

It is your job to slowly draw back those curtains to reveal the happiness that was there the whole time.

The first thing to do, is identify what is making you unhappy. If there are several things, then work your way back up to the major key point that is destructive to you being you. It might be something serious such as a toxic person in your life, or a job you hate or even an illness. Alternatively it may be the environment that you are living it that could be resolved by a redecorating. Each thing is equally as important, and nothing that destroys your happiness should be tolerated.

The next thing to do is make a plan of change. It might be moving on to a new job, a place or person or if that is not quite as inviting, inject some happiness in your day. Start a bullet journal and fill it in at lunch, set yourself a daily self-care challenge for when you get home to get you through the day.

Give yourself something to look forward to in order to change the negative brain waves into something positive.

With all that said, it is unlikely everyone will be 100% happy every moment of their lives. Unfortunately that is life. However, it is not to say that you can't increase the amount of happiness available to you, just by changing the way you think and allowing some light to seep in between the curtains.

Let the light in and the love and laughter will follow.

Much love,
