Mediocre Is Not Okay
To reiterate, settling for mediocre is not okay.
It is so easy to stay trapped in our little comfy rut where we have stability and control, knowing that tomorrow holds exactly the same as yesterday. But when we ask ourselves whether this is actually what we want to be doing... the answer is often a big loud confident NO!
You would not have got as far as you have without embracing and accepting some change. You have a repertoire of skills and person attributes that you will always have and can always utilise. You accepted opportunities and took on the challenge of obtaining these.
So why stop? Do not let fear trap you into your current position. Travel to places new. Do new things. If you are trapped into a career path you are slowly falling out of love with then implement the manoeuvres to change where you are right now and move to somewhere new.
And, if the worst becomes the worst, what damage is done? Especially if you manage the transition well, you can always revert back to a past situation or move onto a new...
