Understanding How To Raise Your Vibrations
So how many times have you heard this phrase in recent
years? Written on notebooks or scrawled on Facebook as you scroll through… but
what does it actually mean?
Well, my friends.
The idea is that like all things in the universe, the
particles that make up our bodies vibrate at a specific frequency. The
frequency is measured in Hertz or Hz. Like most things, there is a spectrum of
frequencies, with the optimum lying around the middle of the range.
This can be related to mood and health. Those who are said
to be feeling low or depressed are thought to resonating on a low frequency
whilst others who seem full of life and possibly too much energy, are vibrating
on a high frequency on the spectrum.
We want to aim for the optimal middle zone.
Someone who is resonating on a high frequency, may act in
mania, or have an exaggerated exuberance for life and thinking that the
important ‘adulting’ things are superficial and trivial. This can cause debt,
recklessness and associated injuries to name just a few consequences. These
people tend to fly high for so long until the unmanaged mess finally catches up
with them and sends them into a downward spiral.
A person who is said to portray a low frequency may be
gloomy, stagnant in life, lethargic, depressed and sad. They may feel nothing
is going right and nothing is going to ever change. They become stuck in a world
that is not moving, or progressing, namely due to the lack of movement between
their physical particles causing their low frequency. They choose to withdraw
because they do not have the ‘energy’ or talk themselves out of new things or
adventure at the fear of it not working out.
So, the good thing is that we can shift our vibrations and
alter our frequency if we take some easy actions.
To name only a few, you may choose to eat natural foods such
as wholefoods, fruit and vegetables. The more natural and close to the Earth
the food is, the higher its vibration. According to the laws of physics, energy
cannot be destroyed, only transferred and therefore consuming high vibrational
foods can only work to increase your vibration.
n a similar principle, filling your space with highly
dynamic people or putting yourself into an environment of high energy will allow
you to resonate on a higher frequency. Exercise – that energy expenditure, that
transition of stored energy into functional energy is an example of an increase
to frequency. Some practices, in particular yoga, works to move dormant energy
that is stored in your body and encourage it to move around the often forgotten
corners of your powerhouse. Going for a walk in nature and allowing yourself to
‘notice’ the beauty in the natural environment such as the intricate detail of
the bark on a tree trunk or the vivid colours of the petals that carpet the
ground that you are walking on. Take in the natural energy and let it flow
around your body.
How will you know that you have raised your vibrations? Well
that one is easy. You will feel a sense of freedom, movement is easier and you
are less hassled by aches and pains. You will notice an improvement on mood,
feeling generally more happy and positive. You will notice the little things
that amaze you and leave you in awe. You will find positivity and positive opportunities
flowing into your life. You will attract more positivity.
As mentioned before, it is important to not become too high
in frequency so during your practices, it is important to become ‘grounded’.
Perhaps using meditation as a tool, be in the now, be present and review where
you are and what you need to do in that current moment to sustain a life you
want to life. It is important to not get carried away on those high vibrations
and let life become messy.
Stay grounded and stay adventurous. That’s the key to
raising your vibration.
Much love,
